Award categories
Business Impact - Achieved
This Business Impact - Achieved award recognises projects that have made an outstanding business impact through successful knowledge transfer where the impact can be quantified and measured. This catergory welcomes nominations from all sectors of technology and innovation and may include (but is not limited to) licensing or spinout deals. Entries must be supported by clear evidence of commercial success (such as revenues, asset or company sales, IP generated) and/or impact on society.
The same project may be entered into more than one award category.
Business Impact - Aspiring
This Business Impact - Aspiring award recognises projects that promise to make an outstanding business impact through successful knowledge transfer but where the impact may be currently latent or unquantifiable. This category welcomes nominations from all sectors of technology and innovation and may include (but is not limited to) licensing or spinout deals. Entries must be supported by clear indications that demonstrate potential for commercial success and/or impact on society.

Environmental Impact
The Environmental Impact Award recognises projects that have made an outstanding environmental impact, through successful knowledge transfer. This category welcomes nominations from all sectors of technology and innovation and may include (but is not limited to) transfer of knowledge to, or collaborations with, commercial or not-for-profit organisations.

Public Policy and Service Impact
The Public Policy and Service Impact Award recognises projects that have made an outstanding contribution to the improvement of public policy or public services. The category welcomes nominations from all research disciplines that have demonstrated successful knowledge exchange.

Newcomer of the Year
This special award recognises an individual, who has not more than five years' experience in a technology/knowledge transfer role. The nominated individual will have demonstrated outstanding personal effort which has significantly contributed to one, or more, successful knowledge transfer projects. Entries must be supported by a clear indication of the personal contribution made by the nominated individual to the project/projects.
